A V-neck has a distinctly different look from a regular neckline.  I try my best to make something sellable, so I went for a finished collar.

Materials: Nothing extra, but if you want a deep V you will need more ribbing.

Time: Less than 30 minutes

Tips: When the collar is done, iron it so that the heat helps the fabric to relax. Cut any additional ribbing to match the original collar in width, sew it to the original collar and iron it so that it also is folded in half.  Then proceed with the tutorial using your extended collar fabric.

Wear it with: Anything you were wearing before, maybe even add a necklace or layer with a collared shirt.
